Now and then also i’m like oh we’re live What’s up jennifer live oh my gosh i am So excited for this right now I’m so excited as well um i’m excited For so many reasons um Most of them excited because i had one Of the pre-relaunched copies of your Book but i finally got like the hard Down is here the real Thing isn’t it beautiful What’s that is it isn’t it beautiful oh Yeah when you got i’m curious when you Got the first book in the mail i don’t Know the same way but i opened the box i Was like And i like [Laughter] Real quick as we’re jumping on um uh Everyone thanks for jumping on today i’m Here today with the one and only jenna Kutcher who i’m so excited to be hanging Out with um we always joke uh that we’re Like marketing brothers and sisters this Is like my sister here which direction Are we here truly People always say that too that we look Alike but it is really weird because Whenever we hang out together because We’ve gotten to like literally travel The world together but like drew every Time we leave he’s like okay you’re not The crazy one like you and russell have The same brain just in different ways And you always make me feel a little
Less alone so thank you for that I appreciate that so Uh really cool well before we get too Deep into this i want to tell everybody A story who’s who’s just tuning in right Now So a lot of you guys know i run a really Really really big event called funnel Hacking live there’s this anyway i think It’s the biggest entrepreneur event in The world if not it should be and it’s Going to be this year because well we’ll Talk about a minute but um i’ve been Trying to get you to come speak at fun Hockey live since i got to know you um And every single year you’re like Russell i don’t really do events i don’t Speak at events i don’t know that kind Of stuff i’m like but jenna like Everybody wants to speak at unlocking Live like i’m good i don’t really care And then we were at i don’t know where We’re dean’s vegas we’re in vegas in Vegas And Do you want to tell us about the story So we were we were sitting at this Wonderful dinner and it was russell and Dave and me and drew and dean was there And a few other people and russell was Like what would it take and i was like Okay clearly you can’t get through to me But maybe you could try to weasel your Way in with drew and so i was totally
Joking and i was like drew loves red Bull so maybe just ship him like 20 Cases of red bull and literally at the Table dave woodward pulls out his phone And orders it without us knowing it and Minutes later i was like just kidding Drew doesn’t even like red bull and David just ordered how many pounds of it I mean [Laughter] So literally our that like a couple days Later we get home we’re back in Minnesota and like the ups truck backs Into our driveway and drew looks at me And he’s like what did you order and a Lot of times he asked that and i’m like I don’t even know what i ordered and so I am watching this driver wheel off These cases of something and i’m like What did we order i don’t even know what I ordered and here it was sugar free red Bull we still have it i mean this is Like three years ago we’re still working Through it although it does come in Clutch on certain days um but you have Literally been halloween like Trick-or-treaters should be like Dropping in red bull The parents would hate us Oh but it is true you have been asking Me to speak at funnel hacking live for Years and years and years and can i tell You something that’s really interesting And maybe something that we’ll even talk
About together at the event but For the last four years i really just Hit the breaks in my business in an Intentional way and i say that not in a Way of i was playing small or i just Stopped showing up but in a way that i Was really just having really firm Boundaries because being a mom was the Priority and still it But lately i’ve been getting itchy to Get back out into the world and be Around um incredible entrepreneurs and So Um i’m excited about what we’re about to Share i’m sad too so as you guys know Jenna recently launched her brand new Book which is amazing i read the Softbound and i got a hardbound i think This week it showed up which is exciting As well um and so you wrote the book and What people don’t know about authors is When authors write books this is the Best time to ask them to do stuff Because we’re trying to sell as many Books as humanly possible So jen’s like hey russell you help me Sell some books i was like I’ve got an idea we have this big event Coming up and although we’ve completely Booked out the schedule and everything i Was like what would it take if we sold Some books for you to have you actually Show up in orlando and speak for Fernando live and she’s like i don’t
Know i’m busy i did all sorts of stuff And i was like well like give me a Number how many books we got to sell And so um some of you guys saw the email Two or three weeks ago i sent an email i Was like okay we’re gonna get 500 books Today if jenna buys these then she is Committed to come to funnel hacking live Like everyone go buy the books right now And like as fast as you can and then um I’ll let you guys know if we hit it or Not and a couple things have happened in The last week Two weeks or so i actually went on a Boating trip with my family and i got Off and when i got the lake i’m sitting There my boat looking at all of the Messages that came through and one Message popped through and this is when I’m so excited for you uh that you Actually first off hit the new york Times best selling list which is insane Yes oh my gosh it is so insane and it is So exciting but Most of that also is thanks to wonderful People like you who helped me spread out The book and the mission and the message It’s so cool though but like i don’t Know if people understand how big of a Deal this is because the new york times Like uh i read somewhere that said like You that they surveyed like i don’t know A thousand people or a million people or Whatever and uh they were looking like
What’s the most prestigious thing you Can accomplish in your life and they had Like doctorates or like masters or like Uh astronauts or like you know all these Crazy things and like the number one Most prestigious thing in humans minds Is to become a new york times bestseller And so like Like if you’re an athlete like your goal Is to win a gold medal as an author the Goal is to uh hit new york times like That’s that’s the olympics that’s the Gold medal and you did it with your very First book which is crazy it took me Three books to hit it was so hard you Got it on number one and then i saw Videos of you yesterday you’re a target It’s all over target it’s all yes It’s great it’s been so unreal and Here’s what i want people that are Watching to to know So the other day we went into a target Store my husband and i And i used to work at target like i Interned in a store stocked the shelves Did the sunday ad set like i was doing The planograms like all of that and so We went into this store and i was like Oh i’m gonna sign the copies of my book And they’re like we’re sold out and i Look and all the area targets are sold Out and i’m like This is so mind-blowing and then my Face and voice come up on the screen on
The back wall of electronics section and I’m like i used to stop these shelves i Used to have to have the key to go in Like it is just Such an incredible Thing but i also say all of this to like Remind you of like if somebody that Worked at target Can go out and have a book or anything Like sold at the store like if it’s Possible for me it is absolutely Possible for you to which is what i’m so Excited about that’s so cool ah i’m so Proud of you anyway so that’s that’s First off awesome number two is and this Is why we’re here today to announce Everybody um because again i gave the Ultimate hook like we sell 500 books That jen is going to fund hockey live And so um i’m curious and are you coming To funeral hockey live this year i am so Excited to say yes I’m so excited too this is like Obviously it’s gonna be the best and Your People are my people and i am just so Excited to watch you In your element you guys don’t recognize Like how much russell Thinks about these things and how much He geeks out over making this experience Life-changing and so i Am so excited to be on that stage but I’m even more excited to like peek

Went to the lake with my kids and this Is something jen and i fight about a lot Because jenna’s really good at like Being very protective of her time with Her family stuff and i’m really good With my kids i’m also a really hard Worker and so uh it was good i Disconnected for a long time and it’s Cool because there’s no cell phone Access where you’re at so like i Couldn’t check anything my kids can Check anything like we had to hang out On a boat for like 10 days and it was Really get itchy like like did it you Did first like the first two days i’m Like yeah and then by the third day i’m Like the world could end and i don’t Even care because look at like we’re Having so much fun and my kids are here And like Um it was really it was really special We had a great day you know what that Reminds me of is like you know when you Go on a vacation and it’s like right Towards the final day you’re finally Sinking in to that lifestyle and then You go throw yourself back into real Life It’s like why i think sometimes people Stink at resting it’s kind of like when You run like the first mile always sucks Right you’re like i want to quit i mean It’s like starting a business the first Part is so painful and then you sink
Into it and you’re like oh wow this is Like i needed this i didn’t know i Needed this that’s amazing i love that Yeah it was really it was really it was Special and then i told you just before You started recording we actually ended Up buying a boat and then we got home And they took my kids boating again and Now we’re both people and anyway but It’s it’s uh it’s crazy because my twins As you know they’re they’re gonna be Juniors this year so one more summer With them and then Who knows maybe they’ll live in a house Forever but they might not and so it’s Like we’re trying to get all the things In and Isn’t that it’s crazy too like we’re i’m In the thick of parenthood in the sense Of like the littles but i’m like man Time is going by so fast and that’s What’s been so interesting to me too is Like coming out of this like four year Stretch of like me just saying no to Everything to me being like no i’m like Energized and i’m so excited and i feel Like my book really forced me to put Myself out there in a different way and So i’m so excited to be with your Community and i’m so excited to be on Your stage and i like cannot wait to Over deliver also People don’t realize how Smart i am when it comes to things like
Funnels and stuff and I’m excited to like share some behind The scenes of the stuff that i do i’m Really i’m excited too because i think a Lot of times um you’re right like you Have a huge podcast of other things and Um And it’s interesting because just you Guys know this is the the argument not The arguments the debates that jenna Have back behind the scenes where i like Show my funnel she’s like that looks so Like masculine and ugly she’s like look At my funnel i’m like oh it’s so like Feminine and stress it’s interesting Though because like the strategy is very Similar but like the aesthetics and how You do things and how i do things and It’s just really really fascinating in Fact i don’t know if i told you this one Of our plans one of our secret evil Plans clickfunnels 2.0 is coming out We’re going to be building a whole like Line of jenna templates that like yes You are so that way like hey everybody Look like jenna it’s here too I have to be advising on this part Because you’re gonna have to send them To me and i’m gonna be recording like Screen recordings of like no no move This font over here this color needs to Change but i love that and i think it’s Really cool because You
A lot of times we don’t recognize how Our marketing is either like attracting Or repelling some people that might Actually need what it is that we have to Sell and so i love debates and stuff Like that and going back and forth with People like you because it’s like well Wait i never thought about it that way Or like this marketing is turning off a Part of the demographic that really does Need this but the language isn’t Resonating or or the you know the design Isn’t translating and so i’m so excited For click funnels 2.0 yeah did you see Us know like how smart jenna actually is She won’t like probably brag about Herself enough but uh me and her went Head-to-head in an affiliate competition And um And like i was going with like all you Know everything i had she was with Everything she had and i’m pretty sure Like my lists are bigger than yours and Things like 30. yeah and uh but jenna came through Like with strategic okay how do we do This and what’s the customer how’s the Thing and how they’re gonna feel how Like all these other things and like me Bru brute force like making the most Irresistible offer like russell brunson Style like coming into crushing it and Then jenna coming in with like her style She beat me and i still to this day
Not bitter um I don’t know the word is but it’s like Anyway but people understand like There’s more than one way to to play This game and like yeah i learned so Much by watching you watching how you do These things and so i’m excited for you To have the chance to share it because a Lot of my funnel hackers they hear like My model like this is how we do it and i Think yeah yeah then see um the softer Side and the and that actually beat the Harder side which is Yes but i mean i’ll rub it in for the Rest of your life but at the same point Too i’ve learned so much of what i do From you in fact um when drew and i were First married we would go on walks and We would listen to audiobooks like on Our walks it was just like time together But we were still kind of Fueling our brains and he would look Over at me and i’d be smiling and he’d Be like what are you listening to and I’m like a webinar presentation by Russell brunson side by slide this is so Fascinating and he would be like what Are you talking about but i have learned So much from you but i also think too I’ve been thinking about it a lot Especially with my book coming out is Like there’s so many people that are so Hungry for like personal development and Strategies and systems but it’s almost
Like we’ve lost the person in the Personal development and so like my book Is really this invitation of like where Are you at and where do you want to go And how do you get there and there’s This line in the book that says like Maybe you haven’t arrived to where You’re going because you’re looking at Someone else’s map and i think it’s Really powerful because i love Strategies and systems and techniques And all these things but i also think Exactly what we’re talking about here You have to put them through the lens of You And what resonates with you and what you Feel passionate about and so it’s like How do we take all these things that Have been tried and true and tested but Then put them through your filter and Add in that personal touch and i think That is like really where the secret Sauce in marketing is and i’m just so Excited to get to hopefully share some Of that with you guys all at funnel Hacking live So cool okay one more story and then um And then we’ll we’ll do a call to action Get people to get their tickets but the Story is so um Those who are happy guys by the way who Are listening to red traffic secrets if You’re my i think i have here Somewhere
Um If you read the chapter on instagram That’s basically like jenna like so go Get traffic secrets read the instagram Chapter like all that stuff’s from jenna And then can we tell the story about Your daughter oh my gosh okay so So we have this bookshelf in our house And um we have all of russell’s books of Course Coco is obsessed with his book she’s Three and a half I have sent russell no joke 30 pictures I’ll have some of them at funnel hacking Live the appropriate ones because a lot Of times she is like running around Without a shirt on um she brings his Book like in to go to the restroom she Brings it for night time reading she Brings it everywhere and i was like if You ever made a facebook ad campaign Like so Go go Can’t resist it and every time she grabs It she goes it’s uncle russell’s book And there’s mommy um but it is really Funny because it literally is her Favorite book and if you ask her what Her favorite book is it’s your book Which i mean you’re winning big in that She also thought that my book was called I love you um and so i had to explain That the title was actually how are you Really which is very confusing for three
