Foreign We're going to show how to change a Course's path To do this click on site and funnels on The left hand side of your dashboard Then go down to courses and click on Courses Then find the course that you want to Change the path of in this example we're Going to change the path on course Number three So we're going to go to the right of it And click on the gear settings icon And then under course path URL we can Change the path right here for this Example I'm going to change the path to Test123 It is not required to put a slash in Front of it You can if you want but it is not Required the system will automatically Put the slash in for you if you do not Put it in right here For this example I'm going to leave the Slash out and then I'm going to click on Update course in the top right hand Corner And then I'm going to double check and Make sure that the course is looking Correct with the path so to do that I'm Going to click on the name of the course You can see right here test123 is Showing at the end of the URL of my Course now
Keep in mind that you can only use a Path once You try to use it twice It'll Cause an error showing random numbers Symbols and letters at the end of your Path So I'll demonstrate that now I'm going To copy this path right here test123 I'm going to go back to my list of Courses here I'm going to go to test course number One and click on the gear icon And I'm going to attempt To use the same path Test123 That I had on test course number three So the wearing test course number one Right now we're going to try and use That same path as test course number Three so I'm going to click on update Course when I do that you're going to See a warning pop up Under here just for a split second so We're going to do that now we're going To click right up here we're going to See that warning now that warning was Letting me know I had already used that Path before So what the system does is it has to Make it unique on its own So if we click on test course one We're going to see right here at the Very end of here you can see that
There's the path that I put in test one Two three but then you see these dashes Numbers and letters at the end Because the system is making it unique So just keep that in mind that you can Only use a path once every path must be Unique And if you ever look at your URL and you See that your path has random symbols And numbers at the end of it That means that you have used that path Before somewhere else within your Workspace
