Don’t know 15 years ago that I’ve Literally gotten printed out at the Staples because they’re so good and I’m Like the best marketing and the best Copy you know it serves you for life Yeah we can nerd out about this for so Long and it’s so exciting I love it Um in fact yes I had to call it Dan Kennedy yesterday and in the first 20 Minutes he mentioned two books I’m the Same way I was like literally buying Them as they’re coming coming because Yeah like I have to have every book some Mentions might be kind of good so I Totally get it anyway if we just helping Just tell people here so everybody Welcome to Live I’m so excited to be here today With Marie folio I think most of you Guys probably know who she is she’s Someone who I’ve been a fan of I’ve been Watching her for at least a decade or More I don’t even know actually I’ve Been doing this 20 years Bronson yes Crazy so let’s let’s jump off this real Quick before I go back the intro like How did you get started initially Because I again we bump into people like When they get to a certain level but There’s always like the pre-stuff like I Did things for a decade before people Knew I existed so where did the whole Game start for you the whole game Started for me like beating my head
Against a wall failing at every other Job like I was on Wall Street on the New York Stock Exchange I’m a person who has Naturally a lot of energy so my first Gig out of college was on Wall Street And I loved it because there was no Seats you had to run around all day There was a lot of potential to make Money and I am never Shameless about That I I want everybody to be as wealthy As they’d like to be and so uh but being There I’ve realized very quickly that so Many of the folks that I worked with I Admired them I respected them they were Smart but they pined for these two weeks Out of the year that they had vacation It was like they lived for these two Weeks Russell I was like that’s not me Like my I kept hearing a small voice Inside going like this is not who you Are this is not meant to be or you’re Meant to do something different but that Same voice didn’t tell me what I was Meant to do so I know we only have a few Minutes I won’t go through the whole Story however Um I bounced around trying to figure out Who I was and I kept failing at all of These great jobs I wanted to quit after Like six or seven months because I kept Feeling like I wasn’t made for it and it Was weird because I have a really strong Work at work ethic I really wanted to Make a difference I really wanted to
Make something out of myself but between Magazines and working at the top Publishing companies in the world I was Like I am such a failure until one day I Was at Mademoiselle which is a no longer Existing um fashion magazine and I was On the internet when I probably Shouldn’t have been and I stumbled upon An article at the time you guys got to Get this this is 19.99. About a new profession at the time Called coaching And it was talking about how you could Do this from anywhere that you could Really support people that you could Make a difference in their lives and That your kind of income was unlimited And as someone who’s bartended and Waited tables to put myself through College like I’m very used to the harder You work the more potential you know Money you can make and uh but I was 23 At the time so I had these two voices in My head Russell one was like my heart Opened up and I was like this is what You’re meant to do it was like the the Clouds parted and Angels were like like This is your calling but at the same Time the voice in my head was like Are you crazy you are 23 years old you Are in piles of debt you can’t seem to Hold down a job who the who that in Their right mind is going to hire a 23 Year old life coach you haven’t even
Live yet but I couldn’t deny that this New profession at the time felt more Right than anything else it was Instinctual is it my heart and soul more Than in my head so I signed up for a Three-year coach training program with Coach University at the time it was the First and only coach training institute In the world I continued in my work During the day fast forward six months Um the HR department at Conde announced Publications called me and they had a Promotion for me it was Vogue magazine a Lot more money a lot more Prestige and You know a job that people understood And so that was my fork in the road it Was like do you stay on this corporate Path with the health benefits and all That stuff and people understand what You do or do you quit and try and start This weird life coaching business that Nobody even knows what the heck this is And you’re totally doubtful of it so of Course I chose that path I quit my job I Went back to waiting Less Traveled yes And um and this was the thing I’m so Grateful for to coach University So Not Only was it about the art and the skill Set of being able to support people as a Coach but the thing they drilled into my Head Russell was it doesn’t matter how Good you are as a coach if you don’t Understand how to run a coaching Business you’re fubard right it’s just
Never gonna happen and so I would I got That and I understood it and I was like If I don’t understand marketing Copywriting selling I’m never gonna get To change people’s lives so I threw Myself fully into being a lifelong Student of marketing of copywriting of Conversion and this was back in the year 2000 like I started a newsletter and an Email newsletter but I was still Bartending people would come up to me in New York and they’re like oh so are you An actress and I’m like I’m a coach and I took a yellow legal pad this was back In the day before you could I was like Sign up for my Weekly Newsletter and I Would get people and I also had a simul Career as a Nike Elite Dance athlete I Taught hip-hop I taught Dance all around The world and my dance students would Say oh like what else do you do and I’m Like I’m also a coach and I would get Them on my newsletter this is like 2003 2004. so I’ll be quiet because I’m sure You have stuff to say but that’s kind of How it started and and it’s just 20 Something years later and you know Marketing I think is one of the most Beautiful tools it is empathy in action It is the secret that unlocks all the Items that you want to make in the world And of course for your family and your Community yeah I think that’s so Symbolic like I think the journey to all
Of us go on right like most of us are Doing something one time and then like You feel the calling and then it’s like The fork in the road and unfortunately Most people what do they do most people Like well this is what’s known this is What people understand this is what it Is but usually people in our world are The ones who are like I feel something here I don’t know what It is I don’t know like the past not Clear in fact I bet a lot of people Watching right now feel the same way Like I know there’s something there’s This tug there’s this pole but you’re Just like I don’t know what it is yet The past is not clear that’s what faith Is right like you step into it then you Do the next step and the next step and That’s when the most amazing things Happen yes and this is something that I Still live by to this day Russell and For anyone listening right now it might Help you this is a mantra that helps not Only keep me sane but keep me growing Clarity comes from engagement not Thought Meaning when you have that inkling in Your heart when you have that feeling That this new business or this new Funnel or this new opportunity could be Right rather than weighing out those Pro Con lists in your brain find some small Way to test it to engage to use your
Physical body because you’ll get all of The feedback that you need from your Soul and also from the external world Right some hard data as well but Clarity Comes from engagement not thought Anytime you’re considering doing Something get into action as quickly as You can and you’ll see it ah I love that Okay so the reason why we’re here for Those who don’t know like why is Russell Marie talking right now so Um this is kind of cool in fact it was One year ago at funnel hacking live and Obviously we’ve been like we’ve run in Really similar Circle to similar friends We’ve never actually ever clocked or Hung out in fact this is the first time We hung out live ever so you guys are Part of the experience Um the last stream of funnel acting live I’m backstage and also my phone rings And I don’t have I don’t know who the Phone is from I’m sorry pull up real Quick Um I know that the phone pops up and There’s a video there and I was like Okay here’s the video about there’s the Video that you sent me as far as Backstage of funnel hacking live is it In the same room yeah totally I sent This in the same room last year and I Was like so to give a context Um Russell and I know some of the same People and we wound up on a text thread

Boom There’s the link go to photo Hackinglive.com to get your tickets uh Because we have so much fun now real Quick Um I’d love for you to kind of tell People a little about what you’re gonna Be talking about uh this year fhl yeah So um you know while I am excited to Talk marketing you know and and we’ll Have lots of conversations of course What I really want to share is actually Um some stories and some insights and Some breakthroughs that I have never Shared before and there are some dark Things that I went through over the past Couple years and working through those Things has made Russell such a huge Difference not only in my business but My life and there’s been a lot of it’s Rooted in science but I’m going to share All of it because any person who’s Watching right now or considering coming To funnel hacking live I would assume That you’re like us you have so many Ideas of things that you want to get Done there are so many things that you Want to achieve in your business there’s So many things that you want to achieve In your life and at least for me Sometimes it feels like no matter how Hard you’re working or how fast you’re Going it’s never enough and you keep Going on that route for a long time and It can create some pretty devastating
Consequences at least it did for me and You know for anyone that is a little More seasoned in life you know you get To a certain point where you’re like oh Stuff starts grinding to a halt and You’re like I can’t if I want to get to That next level I can’t keep doing the Things that I did before like what got Me here won’t get me there does that Make any kind of sense so I want to Start giving people some new paradigms That not only what I went through but Major breakthroughs that I’ve tested now With thousands of people who are Entrepreneurs who are are high Achievers Who like I’m someone who has ADHD so it Can be really challenging right to to Stay focused and to get stuff done so I’m gonna be talking a bit about not Only my transformation but helping People have an exponential growth in how Much they get done in addition to an Exponential growth in their Joy their Well-being and their creativity because You know this it’s it’s hard being an Entrepreneur right you’re constantly Putting out a lot of energy and you need To in my opinion really prepare yourself For those exponential levels of growth And it doesn’t come from just pushing Harder and harder and harder and harder You will hit a limit there and you will Crash you need to kind of rethink that Paradigm and that’s what I want to give
People man I’m excited for me personally To go to go through your presentation Because that’s something uh I definitely Uh struggle with I think especially as We’re growing we’re trying to take over The world and change people’s lives and As you know the more success you have The more people who rely on you from Your team from your from your community From the people it’s just like if you Can’t protect yourself and figure those Things out it’s hard to really get the Level of impact you want without burning Yourself out and also with family right Russell I know for you right family is So important and and your health and Your well-being and and same thing for Me like my I realize like part of my Role as a leader and as a CEO is also to Retain my passion and my creativity and My Innovation and what I’ve seen at Least in my own life is that plateaus When you burn the candle at both ends For decades you start hitting a point Where you’re like do I even want to do This anymore like is this right like all Kinds of stuff can start falling apart I Don’t know if you’ve ever had that but Um yeah and so you know it’s not for Many of us at least from what I’ve seen We can feel ashamed if that starts to Come into our brain we’re like God is Something wrong with me you know am I Getting old or whatever there’s all
Kinds of narratives that can come into Play and it’s like no your best is yet To come we just have to change some of The underlying structure and really Leverage science our bodies Our Minds so That we can take it even further but not In a way that depletes us yeah so good Yeah well I’m excited I wish it was 62 Days from now so we could go through That right now but yeah anyway no it’s Going to be great and then of course any And all marketing conversations like I Don’t know I know you guys are on a very Tight ship on your day but if we want to Geek out on any kind of marketing or any Kind of whatever I am game and I don’t Know if everyone knows this and this is Something we can talk about whatever but I’m not only a huge fan of Click funnels I am also a client and I have been Sending you know Russell’s like oh my God we love you guys so much because It’s made such a huge difference in our Business I’m someone who has a lot of Ideas and I want to move fast and your Tools have enabled us to do things that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time So I want to thank you yeah I love it Well thank you again for everything Thank you for being part of this thank You for speaking this year’s fun hockey Live if you don’t have your tickets yet You guys now is the time 62 days away I Think Hotel roomblocks almost sold out
