Foreign [Music] With the customer education team I hope You're having an awesome day and in this Video we're going to go over how to add An external domain using the manual Method This will be required if your domain Register is not supported by entry Entry is the tool that we use to Automate this process but it will only Work with certain domain registers so if This is your case or if by any other Reason you are not able to use the Automated method you can always use the Manual method as well So first you need to reach your site and Funnels menu and then click on domains Let's click on connect existing domain And then we will need to add the domain Including the sub domain as well And then click on continue Then we will click add domain And then here in this part instead of Clicking this button We Will We Will Click this link This will give this will give us these DNS records and let's click here and Show DNS table We will get this txt record that we need To add into our domain register so I'm Going to click this link To copy And then I'm going to go to my domain
Register I'm using namecheap for this example and As I mentioned I'm already in the domain Area and in the DNS advanced settings so We need to click on add new record And then select txt record and then the Host is the one that we Get from From The Click funnels page which is an Act And then the value Is The text that we just copy from there And then you only need to click here Once we have added the txt record into Your domain register you need to click Here This message is expected since the Record hasn't been propagated yet so we Will need to give this a little bit of Time Once you click the validate ownership Button you will see this message And this means that the the ownership Was verified and the SSL will be adding Soon After a couple of seconds uh you you can Try to refresh the page and you will see That the status of the domain now is Changed to securing that means that the SSL is being added to your domain right Now and this is a process that can take Up to 48 hours so in the meantime if we Click here
Show DNS table You will see that now you've been Provided with other two records one it's A txt record and the other is a cname Record So what we need to do is to copy this Information and paste it into our domain Register I'm inside of my domain registered right Now which is a name chip so I created a New record a txt record and for The host I've added This information and for the value I Added all of this if you click here you Will be automatically copying this Information and the other let me just Show you how How this record should look like And now we're gonna do the same with the Other cname record I'm going to use go in this case because This is the sub domain that I want to Use for my domain but you will be given The sub domain that you will use for Your own domain so if I go to my DNS Settings I already created a cinema Record for the word go and this Information is the one that is showing Here And we will create This Record Now we have our two records created Right here and if we go back to our Domains area we can click here to check
Connection And we can see that now the connection Is verified and if we Um See the status of the domain is now Showing us connected and that everything Looks good and healthy if we go back to Our domains we can see that the domain Is successfully connected Congratulations now you know how to Manually add an external domain into Your clickfunnels account if you have Any other questions please don't Hesitate to reach out to our support Team thank you
