During the interview, I want to sit down with them and hear more about how they went from ‘we’re good at making cookies’ to having a full-blown info-product business. We’re officially live what’s up Everybody this is russell brunson i’m Here today calling from the lake i don’t Know if you guys can see it here Somewhere in the background there the Lights are kind of blown out and i’m Here with preston lauren anderson how Are you guys doing today awesome awesome Great so cool to be here yeah it’s Awesome I’m so excited to have you guys here and I’m excited because fun hacking live i Don’t have i’m at the lakes aren’t the Official countdown clock in front of me But we’re probably like 45 days away Which is crazy A month a month and a half away from the Whole party starting and i’m excited to Have you guys speaking this year um Uh Did you guys have any idea that i was Going to ask you to speak no gosh no no We got a message i was like oh my gosh Russell just messaged us She thought it was just we thought it Was part of like the inner circle chat Now yeah like you directly to us What’s happening yeah Every year uh we start planning fun Hockey live and obviously i you know It’s the coolest event on the planet i Get hundreds and hundreds of people who Like message me and ask me to to speak i Never really respond back to anybody
Ever asked me i’m always trying to fight Who are people in our community who are Doing the coolest things in the world I’ve been watching you guys for the last Almost year or so now um and your Story’s so fascinating so interesting And as we were planning fhl this year i Was like man i want i want people to see Like this whole business is really like It’s it’s possible for anybody in any Market and for those who don’t know you Guys yet i’d love for you guys to Introduce yourselves and then tell us The market you’re in that you won that Two comma club award right there because I don’t think most people are actually Going to believe it Yeah so Preston lauren anderson we are we we are From go ahead go ahead So i bake and decorate cookies and i got My start you know making physical Cookies and then like Now we Teach online i teach people how to Decorate cookies And that’s where this thing came from Cookies like those decorated pretty Sugar cookies you see on at parties and Events and um on magazine covers and Stuff so well i tell my wife before this I was kind of telling them story Club with like teach people to make Cookies and stuff like yeah like i keep
Telling people this will work in any Market it’s just So tell me the tell me the story about Like how you guys went from Probably making cookies for fun to like This becoming an actual business Well it didn’t start out as fun it Didn’t start It didn’t start out as fun because like I didn’t even know that i liked doing Sugar cookies until our youngest son Came along And um yeah that’s really where it all Started Um because my background is in graphic Design and i ran a graphic design Business for a long time and then our Youngest son came along who had a number Of heart defects and it was it was a it Was the hardest time of our life and and Then um uh That’s how i found cookies because like During that time i was his caregiver 24 7. and my mom introduced me to these Decorated sugar cookies because moms Have like this intuition they know like When their kids need help right and so She introduced me to baking and decorate It’s not just baking it’s like Decorating the sugar cookies that’s so Fun and and like kind of like this Therapy and then i just i just got Obsessed with it i couldn’t get enough i Taught myself i dug in figured out all
The ins and outs to it and then the Start really was um was doing that from Home So You can run a home bakery business and That’s what i was doing and then this Guy came along and told me that i wasn’t Making money and i was like what what do You mean it’s kind of like that’s I’m creative right like i tell you like Um i do not have a typical Entrepreneurial personality like i’m an Artist i’m a creative but man that lit My fire when he told me You’re not really making any money i’m Like but i’m working so hard like i’m Doing this cookie business so it was Then really when i was like were you Selling cookies like yeah weeks at the Time just locally or you guys doing that No it was all locally yeah it was all Locally like people come picking them up Right now yeah people’s homes we’re Selling the businesses Yeah because it’s actually you’re not Supposed to you’re not supposed to ship Cookies most most states don’t allow you To do that you can’t ship across state Lines so there’s lots there’s a lot of Limitations and i was like well how do i How do i really make money with this There’s so many limitations once we when She actually went back to work like so Our son was in the hospital once she was
Like he got a better because he’s good Now um once he got better she’s like all Right i need to go back to work i need My creative outlet again so at first We’re like all right let’s go jump into Graphic design again and so actually That’s when we bought two ccx we got Into two ccx And um we’re like all right let’s go all In with graphic design And i could see the stress levels that You’re growing And it was actually unlocked the secrets In 2019 Where i’m like this You’re you’re getting stressed out Without actually getting any clients I’m like You can’t have that because the thing You want to do is it cookies and she’s Like yeah but it’s gonna take over the Kitchen it’s gonna and you’re gonna get Stressed out i’m like look Your happiness is more important than Than the money and i thought at the time That graphic design was gonna be more Profitable than cookies Yeah silly me yeah um And so i’m like you know what let’s go All in with cookies i’m in and and um so I was it was that unlock the secret so i Decided to go all in with cookies um and Then she started building in yeah well i Knew i at that point i was like
No it’s funnels and i gotta i gotta make It work for this like what what do i Need to build how do i make it work And um That’s when the initial idea for cookie Camp the course came about and it was Still a little while before i built it Because i procrastinated a ton but uh Yeah that’s when it started to turn into Uh Into something that i could reach Millions of people instead of just my Local area the pandemic was actually a Massive blessing for us because she was Able to lock herself in her in her In our office And just build shut up the world Shut out the world took care of my kids And built a cookie course yeah crazy so The cookie course yes you’re teaching People How to do all the the designs Um and then how much do you sell the Course for so it’s 47. And then do you have upsells and down Sales or just 47 or No yeah we definitely have upsells Upsells and everything we’ve got a bump So the bump is uh 17. so more recipes More recipes to go along with the the Learning how to bake and decorate Cookies and then After that We have uh
Our membership so more more decorating Themes and like learn how to you know do New color palettes and more skills and Stuff like that so yeah it’s kind of Like if you give if you give a mouse a Cookie it you know it’s gonna need a Glass of milk like if you Show somebody how what they can do with Cookies they’re gonna want more they’re Gonna need more so yeah That’s so cool and then how long did it Take you guys after you launched it to Get into the tacoma club about eight Months eight months yeah eight months Yeah and how do you Have so many questions if you guys like Yeah Because you didn’t have a big email list Or time you just tried to you know Zero russell i started i had less than a Thousand followers on my instagram Because when i was like getting into Cookies and i saw all these other Cookies there’s a term for uh for us All these other cookies were putting Their stuff on instagram i’m like well I’ll do the same but i didn’t have like I was just getting started Yeah this was definitely not um not we Did not have a huge following before i Started this we actually have more Purchasers than instagram followers [Laughter] So i think 35 was it thirty thousand
Thirty five thousand over thirty Thousand now and i think on instagram There’s only twenty five thousand yeah So So yeah no list we started off literally With nothing um there was no list no Emails no followers on instagram it was She was completely unknown zero and um Has built Now with what three and a half million Dollar business since So crazy ah it’s like my favorite you Guys are probably my favorite story Inside the community right now because Just so like i want people to understand That because i think so many people are Like oh why am i a big influencer oh and I’m a big list or oh i’m not a i’m not Teaching business or i’m not there’s Like a million insert excuses here and You guys is like just the perfect Example of like no you can do this in a Market you’re passionate about without a Huge following just like just by doing The process and running with it which is So cool well everybody’s like what did You do that was so special and she’s Always like Do what russell says i was like what They told me I built a funnel and i put a bump on it And i like do all the stuff that russell Said so It’s like there’s no it’s not rocket
Science it’s literally following the Formula that you’ve created i hear the Thing all the time The secret is the work right like There’s you’ve got everything you know Read Every single one of your books you have Everything that you need you just do the Work Yeah it’s so awesome Well this is for hacking live so this is Really fun so for anyone who’s listening To this who’s like Um they want to learn like this business Of how your information products and Selling your talents and things like That um you guys are actually doing a Special session on night one uh we’re Gonna have like i think almost an hour Right to do like a whole section Teaching you guys this whole process What you did how you did it showing Everybody behind the scenes um and i Want people to come to that especially If they’re in a spot where you guys are Like we don’t know exactly what to do Yet or like i don’t know people are Going to buy this thing or it’s like i’m Passionate but like i turn my passion Into actual and actual money i think you Guys like it’s just the coolest story Ever and i love you what kind of what Your plans are to talk about at the at The you guys workshop at fhl
Yeah so i get a little nerdy about this Whole info product thing now because Like i’m a i’m a mom i’m a stressed out Mom trying to raise kids and run a Business and like It really is is everybody should have an Info product like i believe every single Business you can even start one and your Whole entire business can be in for Products or whatever business you have Um we’re gonna walk through and teach You how to Incorporate info products into your Business in a way that like makes major Sense and how to harness all that so Present gonna talk a little more about It yeah yeah Yeah but we planned Yes we’re good so Yeah we have i think we’re doing great Well we’re we’re really excited to walk Walk through not yeah not just what how You you know pull the curtain on what Everything that we’ve been able to do But um I’ve learned so many things just step by Step and so We are we have a plan to walk everybody Through step by step in this workshop This deep dive to learn and see how they Can apply it to Their business regardless of what it is You know somebody who doesn’t even have A business yet and they’re just getting

Too because i think sometimes There’s just like like everyone who’s Listening right now to you guys here You’re like well there’s something Magical there’s something like that that I couldn’t do and so i think have you go Through cookie camp and see like oh it’s A course this is how she did and this is Like the process like i need to get People to see that as well um and just Give them belief like oh my gosh if she Can do this with cookies like what could I do with like what’s my passion what’s My talent you know am i good at right I’m good at this thing or this thing or There’s something that you can do as Well and i think just when you have a Chance to see it’ll make it real for People as well And um and then we should have a cookie Bake off contest fa2 totally oh totally All right i love it so one of the you’re Talking about that anybody can do this Um like a lot of people think you need Special fancy equipment to get started With the course um literally we went out And spent five or ten that we had we had Hired somebody at the beginning of the Pandemic to come and film for us And then they couldn’t because of the Because of kobe shut down yet and so we Went out and spent five grand on all Sorts of cameras mics everything and it All failed we couldn’t get any of it to
Work and after three days of crying and Yeah She was sitting on a step saying this is Too hard i can’t do this Um We said all right let’s get rid of all Of that and we literally filmed it on This phone oh so cool so yeah you don’t Need Fancy equipment you don’t need uh so Literally what everybody’s getting is is Um literally shot on this phone right Here uh and it it can be done with Literally nothing you don’t need yeah You really you don’t need a lot it’s It’s a lot more simple than um i think People think yeah That is amazing so who here has a phone Right now if you’ve got one of these Little guys right here you’ve got Everything you need to be successful That i didn’t take it to fhl so go get Your tickets afterwards There you go there’s a wrap back into The event Well i’m excited and uh yeah just so Proud of you guys i’m so grateful for You guys coming to to be willing to Share kind of the journey what you guys Have done and how you’ve done it um how Many guys in the comments and i know This is streaming on like 10 different Platforms it’s kind of hard to see them All but um let us know in the comments
