5 Clients paid me $139,000… Freelancing will NEVER be the same.

All right so this is pretty fascinating I just did some calculations 139 000 From five of my top clients in stripe go To customers and see which client has Paid the most because it can total up From highest paying to lowest is from Recurring revenue from upsells all my Services as a freelancer not any digital Products coaching courses that’s in a Separate account i want to talk about 139 000 how did i do how can you do the Same because everything literally Everything has changed in the freelance Industry so let’s talk about it and look If you don’t believe me here’s a few Statistics the global gig economy is Projected to reach 455 billion by 2023 And 31 of freelancers are earning more Than 75 000 a year do you know what it Takes in finland i think it takes like Six years of degrees to get a master’s Degree 300 million billion dollars six Years of studies to get a master’s Degree in order to even have a potential Position of 75 000 a year right and with Freelancing you can do this in a few Months in fact when i started my funnel Building business i made i think 10 027 Days and since that it’s been six Figures every year which is more than You know the average 75 000 per year and In 2021 upwork expects to report revenue So there’s an old article but 490 Million dollars from just one platform

Which means this is money going into the Freelance economy i think this is why The majority of freelancers in the us Work in the creative field you want to Feel like you’re creatively expanding You’re growing you’re not in a dead-end Job where you know things kind of like You don’t have a vision there’s a quote Or i think it’s a bible verse that says Where there’s no vision people perish And so you want to have a vision for Your future where you can expand into Something greater and if you feel like Your job is just sort of like the same Robotic thing and you’re just there like Doing the thing that a robot could do it Kind of kills you on the inside at least For me it did but freelancing forces you To level up to become a better person And so that’s why it’s fun yes it’s Stressful at times but the money is Great you get to work from anywhere it’s Just you grow up you become a better Person it’s fun Now what i mean by this that everything Has changed in the freelancer industry Well number one we’ll go one by one and The first thing is where do you get Clients so i remember when i got started Most people were in fiverr upwork Freelancer but that wasn’t me i wasn’t a Freelancer i just wanted to help Business owners and i saw this is a Growing trend and i can make money by

Serving these people i could charge for My services and everything is profit Because all i’m selling is my time right And so i didn’t even want to compete if You look at fiverr for example you can See people have five star reviews and They have uh prices at 50 bucks 150 Bucks and it’s just like i don’t want to Compete on price i want to compete on Competence so why don’t i build a Personal brand instead and so that’s the Biggest differentiator is it used to be That you had to have a fiverr account or Freelancer upwork and now you can have a Profile a personal brand and an audience And you get to decide who do you want to Work with and you can reach out to them They can reach out to you which leads me To the next part where do you go to find These clients again because you’re not Using those platforms so if you don’t go To fiverr for example and sign up to Create an account and people go there to Find you and sift through a thousand Different people only hopes they find You then where do you go well i went to Facebook because there’s a lot of Facebook groups where there’s a Community already so i don’t use Facebook just because i love connecting With people which i also do you can see Me post a lot of personal content but i Know that in a specific community around Funnels for an example or specific

Community or facebook group around Videos there’s going to be a lot of Passionate people who want to either Learn or buy someone like a service and Hire someone to do this for them so i Could just go there and on facebook you Can have five thousand friends so you Add these people let’s say you know Fifty percent of people you try to Connect with prove your friend request Now you have just do ten thousand it Over a few months and then you have five Thousand facebook friends which you know Some of those won’t be business owners But a lot of them will so now you you Know even though you can’t really decide What the rules are in a specific Community you can still get those people As friends and then on your timeline on Your personal account you can post Whatever content you want so that’s Where really we go into marketing which Is a separate video in and of itself but You now have access to all these people And you can start doing your personal Brand building your content building to Get people to message you and then you Can start to communicate which leads me To the next point how you communicate With clients because i remember when i Started it was more of a Corporate vibe to this entire industry And the freelancing industry is huge There’s millions of freelancers out

There which by the way why haven’t you Started or maybe you have let me know in The comments if you have started already If you are a freelancer or maybe an Agency owner you have systemized your Process and scale that’s awesome too but Uh the way that people communicate back In the day was very formal it was very Much like hello sir like thank you for Reaching out i’m very pleasant to be Able to pleasant i’m very grateful to be Able to serve you and how can i help and Hats officer and today it’s more like Hey what’s up bro yeah for sure man i Love your funnel let me know how i can Help by the way what’s your offer and They tell you yeah like i’m working on This book and i want to own the book on The back end of the book i want to Invite people to work with me yeah uh 101 or maybe buy my my service deliver My services yeah for sure i got you it’s More like how you communicate with Friends so instead of sending a long Blog post as a message whether it’s Outreach or it’s when they reach out to You and they ask like hey how does it Work like what’s your services like and What do you charge instead of sending This Try to ask a few more questions and send Short messages just like you would with A normal friend or maybe your family or Whoever it is right so i speak the same

Way to my wife as my clients Almost And that leads us to the final stages of The process where you know how to find Them you know how to communicate with Them How do you close them and get the Payment and how do you collect the money And get it into your bank account it Used to be again kind of like i Mentioned the intro you had to send an Invoice a pdf they had to let it go Through their approval process and then They would wire you the money it would Take you a few bank days and even worse So back in the day you would charge After you Deliver the service and that’s a very Old-school thinking today you want to Protect yourself and you want to charge Upfront so my clients even want to Charge 10 000 it’s up front which also Makes you feel better about yourself Like people value me enough to pay me up Front that’s awesome i love this Freelancing business now right so that’s The first part is uh closing people up Front and i have an entire dm closing Script i have uh recordings of me Closing five different clients live you Can find that in full-time funnel Designer if you want to see how i’m Doing it and have been able to do this With like live recordings but also um

The onboarding has changed so the Onboarding is more so like a forum where They fill out everything once you have It in one place you don’t have to go Back and forth it used to be a little Bit more like hey let’s book a call hey Are you free to jump on a call right now Hey can we jump on a call tomorrow and Kind of catch up and a lot of like calls And meetings where let just the Freelancers do their job you know let Them build the thing edit the video Design the logo write the copy produce The podcast whatever it is right like There’s so many as i’m thinking all These there’s so many opportunities to Have a freelancing business but that’s The onboarding and then the delivery yes You can have a call you can do a One-on-one check-in you can do a quick Catch-up call or a clarification call Where you go over the project you can do All of that but also there’s a tool I call loom that you know you can use to Screen record and share what you’ve done You can update them and you can get Their feedback they can do a loom video With the changes that they request so That you can watch the video over and Over again and make those changes so man Has this industry changed a lot or what It’s a beautiful industry i hope you get Into it and uh again there’s millions of Freelancers already if i can help let me

And i use example closing as a way to Collect money right which is hey okay i Have all the questions answers to my Questions i know exactly what they need And i show one to three examples of like Here’s a few examples which is your Portfolio of like here’s what i’ve done So yes i can help you and that’s where They say man i want that for me that’s Exactly what i want and i’m the same way That’s how i buy two if i buy a tic tac Editor whatever it is like i look at a Few examples i don’t need a call right Like i’m busy as it is i have a family a Business multiple businesses so i don’t Need to have calls all the time just Show me what you got and i’ll pay you Right and that’s how you want to build Your freelancing business as well where People can easily pay you they can Easily see your portfolio you don’t have To be a good salesperson and that’s it No proposal stop wasting time or Proposals where you didn’t even get Money in your bank up front that’s all i Got be blessed i’ll see in the next one
